About

An Army brat born in Germany and raised in North Carolina, I studied Russian literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and law at Vanderbilt.  Now I live in Chicago, working as an attorney for an art college, where I take advantage of free classes.

My Audience is Owls (title from a Margaret Atwood poem) is my space to share thoughts on my interests - photography, travel, style, art and theater.

I live with my husband and our cats.  I ride my bicycle for transportation and write about it at Let's Go Ride a Bike.

My working film cameras:

Rolleiflex 3.5e TLR
Nikon FM
Nikon F100
Mamiya 645 Pro
Holga
Diana F+
Polaroid SX-70
Polaroid 250 Land Camera

I recently bought a Fujifilm X-E1 to dip my toe in digital.
